United Koreans believes readers should know when a financial or other material relationship may affect content. This policy explains our practices for display advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content, paid listings, free products, reviews, and other compensated relationships.
1. Revenue Sources
United Koreans may earn revenue from display advertising; affiliate and referral commissions; sponsored content and brand partnerships; paid business, professional, event, employment, or property listings; paid placement; and our own products or services.
2. Affiliate Links
Some links may be affiliate links. If you click and buy a product or apply for a service, United Koreans may receive compensation from the merchant or affiliate network. The merchant controls price, eligibility, fulfillment, returns, and product terms.
We place a clear disclosure near the recommendation or link, in the same language as the surrounding content. A typical Korean disclosure is:

This content contains affiliate links. United Koreans may earn a commission if you purchase or apply through these links.
A general policy page does not replace a disclosure needed near a specific recommendation. An affiliate relationship is not a warranty of performance, value, suitability, legality, or safety.
3. Amazon Associates Disclosure
While United Koreans is an active participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, the following statement must appear clearly and prominently on the Site and where otherwise required by the program:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
We may additionally explain in Korean that United Koreans may earn from qualifying purchases. The required English statement should not be altered in a way that makes it less clear. Do not display it as a representation of current participation unless the applicable Amazon Associates account is active and the Site complies with the current Operating Agreement and Program Policies.
4. Display Advertising
The Site may display advertising delivered by Google AdSense or another network. Ads may vary by location, device, page context, consent choices, and applicable law. The presence of an ad does not mean United Koreans has investigated, recommended, or guaranteed the advertiser, product, claim, delivery, refund, security, or data practices.
5. Sponsored and Native Content
Content produced in exchange for money, free products, services, travel, discounts, or another benefit is labeled so a reasonable reader can distinguish it from independent editorial content. Labels may include “광고,” “유료광고,” “협찬,” “Sponsored,” or “Paid Partnership.”
The disclosure must be difficult to miss and placed before or near the compensated claim—not hidden only in a profile, footer, hyperlink, or this policy. Audio and video disclosures must be presented in a form users can notice and understand on the device used.
An advertiser may provide product information or review factual accuracy, but does not purchase our editorial conclusion unless the content is expressly presented as the advertiser’s message.
6. Paid Listings and Placement
Paid or preferentially placed business, property, employment, event, or professional listings are labeled “Advertisement,” “Paid Listing,” “Sponsored,” or a similarly clear Korean label. Payment does not constitute verification or endorsement.
We do not accept or structure compensation for mortgage or real-estate settlement-service referrals in a manner that unlawfully steers users or violates RESPA or other applicable licensing and referral-fee restrictions. A proposed mortgage, title, escrow, real-estate, insurance, investment, or immigration lead-generation arrangement requires written compliance review before launch.
7. Products, Reviews, and Testimonials
If we receive a free or discounted product or service, we disclose that relationship in the review. A free product does not guarantee positive coverage. We do not claim first-hand use that did not occur or portray unusual results as typical without an appropriate qualification.
United Koreans does not create, buy, sell, or disseminate reviews or testimonials that falsely represent a nonexistent person, a person without actual experience, or an experience different from the reviewer’s actual experience. We do not condition compensation or an incentive on a positive or negative sentiment. Reviews by owners, officers, employees, agents, immediate relatives, or other insiders must clearly disclose that relationship.
We do not use threats, intimidation, baseless legal demands, or retaliation to suppress an honest negative review. We do not selectively present reviews in a manner that materially misrepresents the overall views of consumers.
8. Editorial Independence and Conflicts
Material financial, business, family, employment, political, investment, or ownership interests that could affect a reader’s evaluation are disclosed where relevant. Higher commission rates do not establish superior quality. Paid placement is distinguished from the methodology used for an editorial comparison or ranking.
9. No Guarantee of Price or Results
Prices, inventory, discounts, rates, bonuses, eligibility, and terms may change. The merchant’s current page and agreement control the transaction. United Koreans does not guarantee that an advertised or affiliate product will produce a particular health, credit, investment, education, business, immigration, or income result.
10. Language and Contact
Disclosures are made in the predominant language of the content. The Korean policy and this English policy are intended to provide the same substantive notice.
