These Classifieds and Listings Terms (“Listing Terms”) apply to property, business-sale, employment, professional-service, education, event, and other advertisements or listings on United Koreans. The Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure are incorporated by reference.
By submitting a listing, the person or entity identified as the listing owner (“Lister”) affirmatively agrees to these Listing Terms and represents that the person accepting has authority to bind the Lister.
1. Platform Role
United Koreans provides space for information and advertising. Unless a separate signed agreement expressly says otherwise, United Koreans is not a party to a transaction and is not a seller, buyer, landlord, tenant, employer, recruiter, applicant, real estate broker, mortgage broker, settlement-service provider, investment adviser, immigration representative, escrow holder, payment intermediary, inspector, guarantor, or fiduciary.
We do not independently guarantee identity, authority, licensure, ownership, title, condition, availability, financial performance, employment terms, immigration outcome, or the truth of a listing. Any review, label, category, or paid placement is not a certification.
United Koreans does not hold deposits or transaction funds unless a separate service is launched under written, legally reviewed terms. Never send a deposit, gift card, cryptocurrency, wire, password, or identity document merely because a listing appears on the Site.
2. Eligibility and Authority
A Lister must be at least 18, legally capable of contracting, and authorized by the owner, employer, broker, agency, or other principal identified in the listing. A Lister must provide accurate contact, business, license, and authority information on request and promptly update material changes.
United Koreans may require identity, ownership, business, license, or authorization evidence. Verification for moderation purposes does not transfer responsibility from the Lister and is not a warranty to users.
3. Accuracy and Required Disclosures
A listing must be current, truthful, complete enough not to mislead, placed in the correct category, and supported by evidence. It must clearly disclose the responsible party, material fees and conditions, whether placement is paid, and any material relationship or conflict.
A Lister may not:
- use a false identity, address, license, credential, price, photograph, availability statement, testimonial, or income claim;
- omit a material limitation, fee, defect, conflict, or condition in a manner that makes the listing misleading;
- copy photographs, descriptions, trademarks, or personal information without authority;
- demand advance payment through a high-risk method or use an overpayment, refund, reshipping, or check scam;
- collect sensitive personal information through a public post;
- post substantially duplicate listings, keyword stuffing, fake urgency, bait-and-switch terms, or misleading geographic labels; or
- offer an unlawful or unlicensed product or service.
4. Real Estate and Housing
A housing Lister represents that it has authority to advertise and that the listing complies with federal, state, and local fair-housing, licensing, disclosure, landlord-tenant, zoning, short-term-rental, and advertising laws.
A listing may not express an unlawful preference, limitation, or discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including applicable protections concerning sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, disability, or another status protected by applicable law. Phrases such as “Koreans only,” “no children,” or an unlawful age, gender, disability, citizenship, or national-origin preference are prohibited. A lawful accessibility feature or legally authorized shared-living exception must be described accurately and may require review.
Property listings must not misstate ownership, location, availability, rent or price, deposits, recurring charges, square footage, bedrooms, permits, zoning, condition, utilities, accessibility, brokerage status, or material transaction terms. Listers must comply with all required agency, broker, fair-housing, and material-defect disclosures.
United Koreans is not a multiple listing service, broker, appraiser, inspector, title company, escrow, or property manager unless a separate signed agreement explicitly states otherwise.
5. Businesses, Investments, and Financial Claims
A business-sale, franchise, partnership, investment, or income-opportunity listing must disclose the responsible seller, the nature of the offer, material fees and conditions, and the basis and time period for financial figures. Gross revenue must not be presented as net profit. Projections, unaudited figures, and seller-supplied data must be identified as such.
Listings may not offer an unregistered security, guarantee a return, use fabricated scarcity, conceal debt or litigation, or make deceptive earnings claims. Publication is not securities, tax, accounting, valuation, legal, or investment advice. Listers and users must obtain independent professional review.
6. Employment Listings
The employer or authorized recruiter is responsible for a job listing. It must accurately identify the employer or confidential-search status; role, location, classification, essential qualifications, compensation where required, material conditions, and application method; and any visa sponsorship or work-authorization statement.
A job ad may not unlawfully prefer or discourage applicants based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, citizenship or immigration status where protected, or another protected category. Language ability may be required only when it is truthful, job-related, and lawful; “Korean preferred” must not be used as a proxy for unlawful national-origin discrimination.
No listing may charge an unlawful application or placement fee, sell a job, impersonate an employer, require a purchase as a condition of hiring without lawful and clear disclosure, or request bank credentials, Social Security numbers, identity documents, or immigration records through a public post or insecure channel.
United Koreans is not the employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or immigration sponsor unless a separate signed agreement explicitly states otherwise.
7. Professional Services, Education, and Events
A provider of legal, immigration, tax, investment, lending, mortgage, insurance, real estate, health, education, or another regulated service must hold each required license or authorization and disclose the applicable name, jurisdiction, and license number where required. A listing may not guarantee a visa, benefit, loan, credit score, cure, admission, scholarship, investment return, or business result.
Events and educational offers must disclose the organizer, material price, cancellation terms, location or delivery format, age restrictions, and whether a credential or continuing-education claim is authorized.
8. Photographs, Privacy, and Rights
The Lister must own or have permission to use photographs, logos, floorplans, documents, and personal information. Remove unnecessary EXIF location information and do not show identity documents, financial records, license plates, minors, tenants, employees, or private interiors without appropriate authority and consent.
The Lister grants the User Content license described in the Terms for displaying, formatting, distributing, moderating, and promoting the listing.
9. Paid Listings; Term; Refunds
Before payment, the order page or a separate written agreement must disclose the price, placement, duration, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms. Payment buys only the described opportunity for publication or placement; it does not buy endorsement, verification, editorial coverage, a transaction, traffic, leads, or a result.
Unless the order page expressly provides otherwise, fees are nonrefundable after substantive review work begins or a listing is published, except where United Koreans fails to provide the purchased placement or law requires a refund. We may reject or remove an unlawful or policy-violating listing without refund to the extent permitted by law.
No automatic renewal may be used unless the renewal terms, amount or method, cancellation process, and legally required notices and consent are implemented.
10. Expiration and Removal
Listings may expire automatically. Listers must remove or update a listing promptly when it is filled, sold, rented, withdrawn, expired, materially changed, or no longer accurate. We may limit or remove stale, duplicate, unverifiable, high-risk, or reported listings without prior notice.
11. Safety and Independent Verification
Users must independently verify identity, authority, ownership, licensure, public records, property condition, contract terms, and payment instructions. Use qualified inspectors, lawyers, accountants, brokers, or other professionals when appropriate. Be cautious of pressure to move off-platform, secrecy demands, remote-only transactions, advance wires, cryptocurrency, gift cards, cashier’s checks, overpayment schemes, and documents that cannot be independently verified.
If fraud is suspected, do not send funds. Contact the relevant financial institution and law-enforcement or regulatory authority, then report the exact listing URL to legal@unitedkoreans.com.
12. Review and Enforcement
United Koreans may require evidence, edit format or labels, request additional disclosure, reject, suspend, limit, or remove a listing, and preserve or disclose records as law permits. We may display competing advertisements. Review does not shift accuracy or legal responsibility from the Lister.
13. Indemnification
The Lister agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless United Koreans and its related persons from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from the listing, transaction, false information, infringement, discrimination, licensing violation, or breach of these Listing Terms, as further provided in the Terms of Use.
14. Reports and Contact
Send reports and advertising inquiries to legal@unitedkoreans.com with the exact URL, issue, evidence, relevant public or license record, screenshots, and requester contact information.
